Business Update #7

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to figure out what my next moves are going to be. I feel mentally stuck so I figured I’d write down some of my thoughts to help with the processing.

Done with Yellowstone

I’m basically done with everything I wanted to do with Yellowstone. There are a few large items that need to be done, but as of now, I’ve accomplished everything I wanted to complete. The last things are to redo the ceiling, flooring, and store signs. I only plan to do that if I decide to keep the store after the crypto bull market finishes.

I have the decision to make whether or not I keep the store or sell it. I want to have location freedom again and be able to work from anywhere in the world. Having a physical store ties me down. I’ve proposed the idea of having one of my employees run the entire store but the idea has been giving me anxiety. He’s a good guy but I don’t feel confident he can manage the store without giving me a ton of problems.

The risk reward doesn’t seem worth it. But I’m still thinking about what to do.

AutoTech Keys

I’m now starting to move back towards working on Autotech Keys. I want to build that up to get some cash flow to put more into Bitcoin. I don’t see myself doing it for the long term. I’ve been having such a hard time getting my mind focused back on it. I’m not sure what’s the roadblock. Maybe I’m a little burnt out with the store and the crypto stuff. I don’t feel I’ve taken a proper break. I haven’t even celebrated the fact that I’m done with the store.

Bitcoin & Crypto

We’re now approaching probably the last quarter of the bull market. I think I’ve done everything I can to maximize this run but I’ll definitely say I only had a perspective from the last quarter of the previous crypto bull market. Navigating the first phase of the bull market didn’t go so well for me but hopefully, the last quarter finishes off where I’d like. The goal is to make enough to take a mental break from everything and figure out what I want to do with my life.

Slowing Down

I’m hoping I’ll get to step back from everything near end of the year. I’ll probably take several months off and travel. I need to get away for a bit to ponder what I want to do long term career wise and where I want to live. I’m at the point where I want to start a family. I’m 36 heading towards 37. Marriage and kids can’t wait that much longer.

Writing Helps

Writing down everything helps. I think my plan is just to focus on growing Yellowstone revenue and getting Autotech Keys launched. I’ll do a limited time 6 month plan for Autotech. For Yellowstone, I’ll give my employee the first dibs on buying the entire store. There is a good chance I won’t hold on to it. I wan’t my freedom again.

Roadtrip

I’ll be taking a road trip with my buddy Jeff and his family across the United States. He’ll be stationed in Virginia Beach. It’ll be a good time for me to reflect and disconnect for a bit. Hopefully, I’ll have more clarity about what I want to do with my future.
