I feel like my productivity has plummeted in Bali. It’s a combination of not having my own place and bad working areas. I currently live in a Villa with three other people, so the kitchen and eating area is outside. Lighting in my room is weak, so it’s hard to work from here. Cafe internet is spotty in different locations, and most of them are not enclosed, so they don’t have AC running. Getting around in a moped is a drag sometimes. Overall, I don’t like Bali as a remote work location. There are probably other parts of Bali that are great for remote work; I just haven’t found it. I will say the food is pretty impressive in Bali especially with all the local veggies and fruits they use to make their dishes. Coffee in most places is delicious too.
I tried going to Bali Bowl for breakfast and to work, but I ended up at another cafe called Roko. It looked pretty cool, so I went there for breakfast and lunch and had dinner at Bali Bowl. I swore I had seen another Bali Bowl, but I couldn’t find it. The one I went to was the further one. Thankfully, while going to pick up a burrito from Sizzlewrap, I found the closer one I was looking for. I’ll try working out of there tomorrow.
I’ve been struggling again trying to get Network & Market going. I’m having a hard time pushing something that I’m just not that passionate about, and that requires me to be the face of it. I’m not a big fan of using personal marketing as a way to build a business. That’s just me personally, and it’s making my attempts at growing Network & Market challenging.
However, today I came across a web app called Bubble.is. It allows you to create dynamic websites that don’t require coding. It seems like it has the capabilities of building the web app I’ve had an idea for. I’m going to spend time tomorrow to hash out what features I want to see if it’s something that I can launch quickly, inexpensively, and with a high probability of success.
