New Adventure for Jeff
It was a quick trip but I took a bus down to San Diego to pick up Jeff, who is now a Navy Chaplain going through basic training, to drop off at the airport. I’m also borrowing his car for the next three months since he won’t be using it. I stayed at one of my friend’s Airbnb locations in the heart of Little Italy. Cool spot and I was able to walk around little Italy for a bit. Most places were closed so it wasn’t that exciting but nevertheless, it was nice getting out for a bit.
Sunday Hike in Alta Dena
I got back on Saturday and then went on a hike in Alta Dena at the Crest Trail Cobb Estate Entrance. I didn’t expect it to be such a nice hike but it turned out to be a beautiful day and a gorgeous view along the trail. I’m not sure the elevation of the entire hike but it was pretty high. If I continued all the way to the top, I would have been in the clouds.
It was super cold so I didn’t make it all the way up and the sun was setting so I had to turn around at the 3.5 mile mark. If I had more time, I would have definitely made it all the way up. What an incredible view and hike. It was steep and had many narrow parts along the trail but I’d definitely come back and make it all the way up.
