Bangkok (Part 2) – Day 9

Today was a productive day. I can’t believe I just got into this new apartment yesterday. I feel like I’ve been here for at least three days already. I’m just too hard on myself. For just moving in, I think I’m doing pretty good on the work front. Yesterday didn’t feel very productive but I also have to consider I did a lot of moving and getting adjusted again. I think there is something to learn here and this message I saw on Facebook sums it up well.

I don’t know who authored it, but it’s true, and I need to learn how to unplug and enjoy different parts of life and NOT feel guilty about it.

Getting my mind off work yesterday seemed to help today. I felt I had some major breakthrough with Network & Market. I’ve been feeling incredibly stuck and considering dropping the whole project because I thought I wasn’t passionate about it but what I realized is that there IS something I’m passionate about and it flows through many things I’ve done, systems and automation. Instead of trying to be like everyone else and teach people how to recruit whether online or offline, I’d rather find my specific niche by showing people how to systemize and automate their business. That’s exciting for me.

The idea dawned on me after I created that presentation for my sister and helping her understand how to put together a digital business for her church ministry. I love to see how processes turn into systems that allow you to automate the redundant and work on the creative so you can efficiently scale your business without YOU becoming the bottleneck. I’ve had an eye for automation, systems, and efficiency in everything I’ve done. I think this will be the smart niche for me to take because it’s less crowded, I like doing it, and it caters towards those that do online or offline network marketing. We’ll see how it turns out.

Also, I was charged by a company that created the theme I’m using on Milliardco. called Astra today. They went by a different name, so I wasn’t sure what I was being charged for, so I looked into it. It turns out I bought the pro version of the theme, and I just haven’t been using it. The pro version gives a ton of upgraded functionality, AND this theme works with beaver builder so I can have a more granular design for this website if I wanted. On top of that, this theme functions well with Woocommerce, LifterLMS, and Learndash. That means I can add an E-commerce component AND an education platform.

I’ve thought that Milliardco could turn into something more, but I’m not sure if I want to let go of this personal space I have. It’s been incredibly helpful to organize my thoughts and growth. However, it could be a great platform that connects everything else I do and create an audience that I could add value too. I’m not sure what I’ll do yet, but it’s great knowing that I have the option with this theme.

Also, yesterday there was an email that was promoting a podcast, and the podcast episode was about a guy that turned his blog into a source of multiple streams of income, and it happened to have a very similar name to Milliardco; Millo.co. I just saw that as serendipitous or rather a little sign from the Lord guiding my thoughts and steps. It got me thinking about possibilities but I love Milliardco as a personal blog, and I don’t have a definitive idea what I would turn it into.

I’ve had some ideas of making Milliardco a way to connect with Christian business people and somehow blend it into the Wisdom Project. We’ll see what happens. I’m sure my brain will take inputs going forward and using this idea as a lattice to hang potential connecting ideas to it to form a cohesive plan. Until then, I’m going to keep enjoying the site as is.

I made some tweaks to the website since I found out all the add-ons the PRO version of Astra gives and I’m pleased with how it turned out. I love the website layout and the color scheme. I also added an altered header image created through Prisma which is a cool AI-based app that alters any picture into different artistic photos like watercolor, prism, pencil, etc. I’m enjoying how this website is evolving.

After working on and testing out the different functions that Astra Pro includes, I went to get lunch downstairs at that same Thai restaurant. That minced pork with thousand year egg was too delicious, and I had to get it again. I got that dish and also the glass noodle seafood salad but it wasn’t as good as the one from Ko Lanta, and I found a plastic piece it in…but that rice dish made up for it.

I went back to work upstairs and worked on modifying Network & Market to reflect the new product/market fit. The product being systems and automation and the market being existing online network marketers AND in-person network marketing. I learned not to over-create but rather create an MVP and test if the market is receptive. Instead of building an entire program to see if people are interesting, I’m planning to do a free webinar and present a PPT that I’m working on.

I felt good about the progress made on multiple fronts today. Milliardco made progress, and so did Network & Market. I was working pretty much all day today up until about 2 am so I think it quickly made up for yesterday lack of productivity. Learning how to unwind, relax, and trust the Lord makes a whole lot of difference.

Also, I went out for dinner around 8 pm, and I noticed there was an area to the right of the condo that led somewhere but I didn’t know where so I decided to go down. It turns out there is an outdoor plaza with a bunch of restaurants!!! I was ecstatic! It’s in walking distance and has healthy food options and a 24 hour Tom n Toms. I’m definitely working there tomorrow. I wish I came to this condo sooner! Great, location.

For dinner, I had Korean fried chicken with traditional Korean side dishes. I haven’t had it in a while. The sides were good, the chicken not so much. I did have an Asahi with it, so that was nice. I also found the facial cleanser I’ve been looking all over for at a store in the plaza. Today, was a solid day.

I have only four more days before my buddy comes in! I have a bunch of work I need to do before he gets here, so I need to bust my butt. My goal is to finish up my PPT and make an explainer video out of it. Then I’ll throw up some Facebook ads to see if I can get some traction. I think this is the right approach to take and I’m excited about it.

I have a barbers appointment at Black Amber tomorrow at 8 pm, so I’ll work up to then. I’ll have only Monday and Tuesday to get most of my work done. I’ll relax tomorrow night, and on Sunday I’ll try to keep work to a minimum.
