Canggu, Bali – Day 7

A full week in Canggu, Bali now. Even though I’ve grown familiar with Bali and love the food, I’m still not a fan. I don’t think it’s a great place for long-term remote work. Getting around on mopeds is inconvenient and unsafe and working out of cafes are expensive. I would typically eat at home, but the villa I chose isn’t the best for it. The price of houses out here are high too.

I’m looking forward to going back to Thailand.

I skipped a workout in the morning today and went straight to Rise and Shine cafe to work. It’s a good work location but it closes early at 3 pm. The food is good and it’s fairly priced. I’d go back there for the food and work just knowing I’ll need to switch up locations for dinner time.

I had breakfast and lunch at Rise and Shine then I headed over to Oka’s bakery because I left my privacy screen protector there yesterday. I couldn’t find another place to work so I just stayed there and worked until dinner time. Most of the nicer restaurants in Bali seem to be owned by foreigners. You can tell by the design and the cleanliness. Oka’s bakery seems to be owned by a local and just knew it wasn’t up to par. I saw a mouse running around. I only got an iced long black and a raw energy ball dessert item. I’m definitely not eating anything else there but it is a good work location.

.

Today was a productive workday. I got the majority of what I wanted to get done on Network & Market. Afterward, I headed to SizzleWraps which was right next door to Rise and Shine. I believe it’s the same owner. Their crunchy wrap and quesadilla was delicious. I ate the crunchy wrap at the restaurant and brought the quesadilla back to the house. I figured I’d get hungry later. It was also very affordable, about 50,000 IDR or 3.5 dollars.

I head home after dinner and decided to stop by for a quick work out. I wasn’t planning on going today. I wanted to take a rest day, but I felt good, and after eating heavier today, I figured I’d sweat it out a bit. I What did legs even though they were still sore from the other day. It was a quick work out since they close at 8:30 pm.

After I got back and showered, I worked on my Milliardco. I haven’t added much new content besides my daily journals. It was nice being able to be in rhythm again that I could study and add to Milliardco. I’m still glad I created this personal blog. I plan to eventually change my journal formatting to something more beneficial for readers. Right now, I’m using it as a daily journal but eventually, I’ll make it into an insights blog or something.

As I was wrapping up the night, my bitcoin and crypto portfolio took a major dump. The market just tanks and Bitcoin broke through the major support at 5800-6400. I reduced my exposure enough so it’s easier to sleep at night. We just re-entered the downtrend and Bitcoin made lower lows today for the year. I’m not sure how far it’ll go down but short term it sucks, long term it’s great. I’ll have more opportunity to continue to purchase Bitcoin at lower prices.

I stayed up an extra hour to deal with trades for myself and my sister. I’m tired and looking forward to getting some sleep!
