Bangkok – Day 18

Fun day today. I met up with a friend and we went to the Taling floating market. It was a great experience. We tried some unique snacks, fresh seafood and Thai food, and went on a boat and toured the canals.

I’m pretty sure those motors were pulled out of cars and attached to boats. If so, impressive and really resourceful.
Fresh prawns were delicious!
Catfish in the canals
I’m not sure what those worm looking things in the blue bucket were but they looked disturbing.

Once we left the canals, a downpour happened. We left at the right time. After the floating market, we headed home and I hit the gym. I was able to work out back, abs, and did a 1 mile interval run. It was quick but nice work out.

I showered and head to the Sena mall to get some dinner and do some grocery shopping. I dropped of the groceries and went to another market to get water that’s across the street from the condo. I’m still getting over not feeling well. I’m exhausted from the day, so I’m calling it a night pretty early. I hope to be well rested and explore Khao San Road.

I only have 8 more days before my sister and mom come. I’m starting to really like Bangkok and especially the condo I’m staying at. I can’t get enough of the view. I can’t believe that half my trip is already over…I’m trying to appreciate every moment of it realizing not too many people get an opportunity like this. This has been a great trip and exactly what I’ve been needing.
