Bangkok – Day 4

I initially intended to go out today, but a thunderstorm came through and squashed my plans. It looks like sporadic rain showers happening this entire week…A little bit of a bummer. It doesn’t help when there aren’t many walkable places around here. I’ve been frustrated by the lack of fresh food and fruits here. I’ve been eating mainly Thai food, and it’s not the healthiest. Chiang Mai was too good to me. I just booked my next Airbnb for the 17th – 24th in the Silom area. This place looks to have a fantastic view, and it has a supermarket right below the condo which will be a nice change.

I’ve been doing my best to eat healthily but it’s been challenging. My body hates me when I eat high carb foods. I found out there were other places that deliver but they all don’t have healthy options. Frustrating.

Wonton, duck, and bbq pork. It’s tasty, but I miss the fresh vegetables and fruit.

Today was an up and down day. I think I’ve been indoors a little too long. I worked on Network & Market and optimized the site for mobile. I currently have two ads out that I’m A/B testing for the image I used, and I boosted the blog post. The results are decent but nothing significant. I plan to keep tweaking, creating content, and see what directions I need to take.

After work, I headed to the gym. I worked out back, ran 3 miles, and biked for 10 miles. I’m pretty excited about the Ironman. I plan to inch up to running 6 miles and bike 26 on the same day and then swim for half a mile the next day to let my legs rest. That was a much-needed workout, and it felt great. Getting active helps me think clearer and feel better.

Afterward, I picked up some protein shakes, nuts, and water from 7-eleven. I showered, ate, and planned out my work schedule.

I made some adjustments on my learning path. I don’t plan on getting the three specializations. I realized getting them for the sake of the certificate is a shotty way of learning. Instead, I’m just completing the courses that are relevant to the things I’m doing right now. Applied knowledge is much more affecting in retaining and thoroughly understanding a subject.

Tomorrow, I plan to head over to the Asiatique riverfront. It’s pretty close to where I am, and it seems to be a popular attraction. It might rain, but I need to get out regardless.

That’s it! Time to do some quiet time with the Lord and get some sleep!
