I thought I was getting better at going to sleep earlier. Yesterday, I ended up getting in bed by 2 am but I, for the life of me, couldn’t go to sleep. I tossed and turned until about 4 am, the last time I checked my phone, to fall asleep. I don’t know what it was. It could have been working out around 8 pm yesterday that gave me an extra boost of energy that I DIDN’T need. No matter. I felt more energized than expected from a lack of sleep but not as good as it could have been. I’m going to keep this rather short so that I can hit the bed earlier today. I hope I have more luck sleeping than I did yesterday.
Stayed in most of the day working. I liked the other place I had better while staying in Chiang Mai but this place has its perks. The biggest one being a separate bedroom. It feels nice coming out of the bedroom and going “to work” in the living room area. It almost feels like being in an office rather than a bedroom.
I’ve been doing a random log of activities I do throughout the day to see where I am spending my time. I’ve been loosely tracking time spent, and it’s made me more mindful of the use of my time. Sometimes, days are such a blur that it helps logging in the general activities I’ve done throughout the day. It’s also forced me to be more productive. Good hack to use.
I worked on MilliardCo. a bit. When I add stuff, it happens pretty randomly. I’ve stored quite a bit of resource on a lot of subjects and MilliardCo. has been helping me dump everything there. It’s a cathartic feeling almost. Gut-wrenchingly good for some reason. It almost feels like a second mind that helps me store the more important data pieces I want to keep in an organized fashion. My goal is to continue to use as long as I’m working on growth and development. It feels like home, filled with memories and a visual picture of growth. .I’d highly recommend it to anyone that is like me, that needs to see the bigger picture.
I also worked on Network & Market today. I made some adjustments to the descriptors on the page to make it feel more personal rather than a cold “company.” I also brainstormed content strategies. I needed to figure out who my customer avatar is and figure out what content is relevant to my market. I think I have a good grasp on it. I’ve written down the projects I need to finish for Network & Market and simultaneously start creating relevant content, pushing it out through several marketing platforms.
After work, I headed over to Nimman to get some food. I wandered around a bit and happened upon a little night market tucked around in a small alley. I was initially going back to a restaurant I liked but the night market pulled me in. Pad thai seems to be a staple in Thailand and for a good reason. The stuff is delicious. I bought pad thai from a nice elderly couple. It was only 50 Bhat ($1.50). If someone wanted to live here cheap, you could do it. Average “local” meals would cost you about $1-2. That’s about 10 dollars on food a day. Housing is cheap if you were a local too. You can get a nice place for about $300 a month.
Afterward, I got back and hit the gym.
Finished the gym, showered, and then started classes for SEO. Took notes and now finishing up this post. Time to get some sleep! I think I’ll take melatonin tonight. I completely forgot I had it with me. Here’s to another day!
